2. How much does it cost?
Please see our Castles pages for the price of each bouncy castle. A delivery charge may apply dependent on your location including charges for specific requirements, Please contact us for a quote.
3. Do I have to pay a deposit?
Full payment by bank transfer will secure your booking at time of booking. However, for bookings made quite some time in the future, we are happy to accept 50% of the total hire cost to secure your booking.
4. What does the price include?
You will receive the bouncy castle, a waterproof inflation fan, one 20m IP54 waterproof extension cable. All booking prices include delivery, setup, and collection.
Each price includes day hire, plus **free overnight hire of the day of hire. A delivery charge may apply, dependent on your location and for specific time requests including venues, open/communal areas.
5. How do I pay?
BACS payment (details are sent upon booking). We regret we can no longer accept payment upon delivery or collection. We now also use PayPal.
6. What if I need to cancel?
We ask that you give us as much notice as possible. However, if you wish to cancel your booking, this MUST be done 14 days prior to date of hire. Anything inside the 14 days no refund will be given. If we arrive for delivery and are notified you wish to cancel without any notice, you will be liable for the full payment. This also includes if you have not completed your due diligence with making sure the Castle will fit in your garden for example.
7. What type of surface can the castles be set up on?
We can set up bouncy castles on many types of surfaces, halls or venues. It’s not possible to set them up on a slope, however, a very slight slope may be possible, but please discuss it with us prior to booking. We can also set up on AstroTurf, and work with harder surfaces like concrete but please contact us to discuss this further.
8. How much space is needed?
You will need to allow ideally around 4ft at the front and rear of the castle, and 2ft either side of the castle for safety reasons. If you are hiring a slide, you will need to allow around 4ft at that side. The size of each castle is detailed on our Castle pages.
Please ensure the area where the castle is to be sited is cleared and clean prior to delivery. Please note that if you have incorrectly calculated the space and the castle doesn’t fit, you will be liable for full payment no refund will be given.
9. How long do I have the equipment for?
We will ensure everything is set up, the exact delivery time will depend on our delivery route though we aim to complete all deliveries by mid day. Please bear in mind at the height of summer we can be still delivering into the afternoon!
If you wish to have the castle by a certain time we offer priority delivery at a cost of £15, if you wish to have the Castle before 10am for example.
Brand New service for 2023 – Evening before delivery, limited availability and this will ensure your hire is delivered the evening before your hire date. This service is at an additional cost of £30.
Each booking includes day hire, plus **free overnight hire of the day of hire. If you are unable to have it overnight and need it collecting the same day, a £25 collection charge will apply.
All hall/venue hire we can deliver at times to suit given enough notice, please allow 30 minutes either side of your party times for set up and collection, please discuss further with us before booking.
10. Do you supply safety instructions?
Yes, we supply detailed safety instructions with every hire, we will ask you to read and sign this agreement. You can return this signed either by email or by giving us a copy on the day of delivery. This is also known as a waiver.
11. Is there an age limit?
All of our castles are suitable for children up to and including the age of 12, our adult castles are suitable for all ages. Please note all castles have limits as to how many can use the castle at any one time.
12. How long does it take to set up a bouncy castle?
It takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to set up and 10 to 15 minutes to pack away. However, this may vary depending on the size of the castle and location.
13. When I hire a bouncy castle, is there anything I need to provide?
We will supply all the equipment you need for the castle. You will just need to provide a 240 volts main power supply, please bear in mind we only supply ONE 20m extension cable per hire, or if hiring our adult castle that needs 2 inflation fans we will provide 2 20m extension cables.
14. What if it rains or is windy?
Most of the castles have built in rain covers which are adequate for light rain showers, although the front step isn’t covered. However, castles cannot be operated in heavy/torrential rain or high winds due to safety reasons. In the event of wind speeds in excess of 38km/h (24mph), the inflatable must be switched off. This also may include us needing to cancel your booking with short notice and sometimes cancelling on the day.
15. Do you have insurance?
Yes, we have Public Liability insurance to the value of £5,000,000.
Our insurance certificate is available upon request. Please note Public Liability insurance only covers Carol’s Bouncy Castles for any negligence. It would not cover you for your negligence or any damage to the bouncy castle caused whilst in your possession.
16. When are your bouncy castles available?
Our castles are available 7 days a week all year round, subject to the weather, including Bank Holidays.
**Free overnight hire ONLY applies to our summer time (March – October)
Collection times vary throughout the year outside this and are as follows (this excludes indoor hires):
